Job Title: 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant (Supply)

Overview:
NextGen Teachers are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in the WF10 area on a supply basis. This is a rewarding opportunity to support an individual pupil with additional needs, helping them to access learning and thrive within the classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 support for a pupil with SEN, tailored to their individual needs
• Assist in the delivery of personalised learning plans under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCO
• Support the pupil's academic, social, and emotional development
• Implement behaviour management strategies consistently and effectively
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff, parents, and external professionals where required

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children with SEN (e.g., ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs, or SEMH)
• A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to adapt to different classroom environments on a supply basis
• Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, or equivalent) are desirable but not essential
• The right to work in the UK
• An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to complete one)
• The ability to provide 24 months of professional references
