About the Role:
NextGen Teachers are currently recruiting for a confident and experienced Primary Teaching Assistant to work on a supply basis across a range of primary schools in the Bradford area, with a particular focus on BD9. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive individual who thrives in different classroom environments and can quickly build rapport with pupils and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support teaching and learning across EYFS, KS1, and KS2 as required
- Provide targeted support to individuals and small groups of pupils
- Assist with the delivery of phonics sessions and early reading development
- Implement strong behaviour management strategies to support a positive learning environment
- Work closely with class teachers to support lesson delivery and pupil progress
- Adapt to different school settings and follow school policies effectively
Requirements:
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting
- Strong behaviour management skills and confidence in managing challenging behaviour
- Good understanding of EYFS framework and early years development
- Knowledge of phonics programmes (e.g., Read Write Inc., Letters and Sounds, or similar)
- Flexible, reliable, and able to adapt to new environments quickly
- A positive, enthusiastic, and supportive approach
- The right to work in the UK
- An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
- The ability to provide 24 months of professional references
