Location: Leeds
Contract: Full-time, Term Time Only - Temp to Perm
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm
Age Group: 11-17 years
Start Date: September
Salary: £92 - £95 per day (depending on experience)

NextGen Teachers are recruiting passionate Secondary SEN Teaching Assistants to join a welcoming and supportive specialist school. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a genuine difference, working in small classes of around 10 pupils and supporting young people with Autism, ADHD, and Down syndrome to build confidence, develop key skills, and achieve their potential. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support learners with a range of complex needs in daily learning
  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging, differentiated, inclusive lessons
  • Work flexibly across sites to meet changing learner needs
  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
  • Follow safeguarding procedures and promote pupil welfare
  • Record progress and report concerns to staff and senior leaders

  • Experience working with children is essential, secondary experience is highly beneficial
  • Flexible and adaptable across settings and sites
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Calm, patient, and positive approach
