NextGen Teachers are currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to work on a supply basis at a welcoming and supportive specialist school in Bingley. This opportunity offers flexibility while also providing the potential for a long-term placement for the right candidate.

The school caters for students aged 11-18 with a range of additional learning needs, including:

• Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
• Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
• Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)
• Complex needs
• ADHD
• Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs

This is a rewarding role where you'll work closely with teaching staff to support students both in the classroom and through personalised interventions, helping them to achieve their full potential in a safe, nurturing environment.

The Role

• Support students with a range of special educational needs throughout the school day
• Work on a one-to-one basis and with small groups to promote learning and engagement
• Encourage independence, confidence and positive behaviour
• Adapt your approach to meet individual learning, communication and emotional needs
• Build positive relationships with students, staff and families
• Assist with personal care where required

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

• Has experience working with children or young people with SEN, either in schools or other care/support settings
• Is patient, empathetic and resilient
• Has excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Is committed to supporting young people with additional needs to thrive
• Holds an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or is willing to apply for one
