NextGen Teachers are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and committed Science Teacher to work across schools in Keighley and the surrounding areas on a temporary basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Science Teacher, an ECT looking to gain valuable classroom experience, or a suitably qualified Science specialist seeking a flexible temporary position.
We are looking for a passionate teacher who can deliver engaging, creative and accessible Science lessons, inspire students and create a positive learning environment where every pupil has the opportunity to succeed.
The Role
As a Science Teacher, you will be responsible for:
Planning and delivering engaging and challenging Science lessons.
Teaching students across a range of abilities and age groups.
Delivering lessons across subjects such as Biology, Chemistry and Physics where appropriate.
Supporting pupils to develop their scientific knowledge, practical skills and critical-thinking abilities.
Creating a positive, inclusive and engaging classroom environment.
Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback.
Managing classroom behaviour effectively and consistently.
Differentiating lessons to meet the needs of individual learners.
Working collaboratively with teaching staff and school leadership.
Maintaining high standards of teaching, learning and student engagement.
Promoting a genuine interest and enthusiasm for Science.
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will ideally have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), or relevant teaching experience.
A strong subject knowledge in Science.
Experience teaching Science within a secondary school setting.
Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
The ability to deliver engaging and well-structured lessons.
A passion for education and helping young people achieve their potential.
The ability to build positive and professional relationships with students and staff.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
The flexibility to work across schools in Keighley and the surrounding areas.
A reliable, enthusiastic and professional approach.
ECTs are welcome to apply, alongside experienced teachers and Science specialists with relevant classroom experience.
