NextGen Teachers are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and dedicated English Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive secondary school based in the LS28 area.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher, or an ambitious Early Career Teacher (ECT), looking for a long-term temporary position within a well-established secondary school.

The Role

As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and challenging English lessons across the secondary age range, helping students to develop their literacy, communication and analytical skills.

You will be expected to:

• Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons in line with the school curriculum

• Inspire and engage students of varying abilities

• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment

• Assess and monitor student progress effectively

• Work collaboratively with the English department and wider school team

• Maintain high expectations of behaviour and achievement

• Contribute positively to the wider life of the school

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), or have relevant teaching experience

• Have experience teaching English within a secondary school setting

• Have a strong knowledge of the English curriculum

• Be passionate about supporting students to achieve their potential

• Have excellent classroom management skills

• Be reliable, professional and committed to the role

• Be able to build positive relationships with students and colleagues

• Have the right to work in the UK
