NextGen Teachers are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and committed ICT Teacher to work across schools in Leeds and the surrounding areas on a temporary basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced ICT Teacher, an ECT looking to gain valuable classroom experience, or a suitably qualified ICT/Computing specialist seeking a flexible temporary position.

We are looking for a passionate teacher who can deliver engaging, creative and accessible ICT lessons, inspire students and create a positive learning environment where every pupil has the opportunity to succeed.

The Role

As an ICT Teacher, you will be responsible for:

  • Planning and delivering engaging ICT and Computing lessons.

  • Teaching students across a range of abilities and age groups.

  • Supporting pupils to develop their digital, technical and problem-solving skills.

  • Creating a positive, inclusive and engaging classroom environment.

  • Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback.

  • Managing classroom behaviour effectively and consistently.

  • Differentiating lessons to meet the needs of individual learners.

  • Working collaboratively with teaching staff and school leadership.

  • Maintaining high standards of teaching, learning and student engagement.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will ideally have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), or relevant teaching experience.

  • A strong knowledge of ICT and Computing.

  • Experience teaching ICT, Computing or Computer Science within a secondary school setting.

  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.

  • A passion for education and helping young people achieve their potential.

  • The ability to build positive and professional relationships with students and staff.

  • Strong communication and organisational skills.

  • The flexibility to work across schools in Leeds and the surrounding areas.

  • A reliable, enthusiastic and professional approach.

ECTs are welcome to apply, alongside experienced teachers and ICT/Computing specialists with relevant classroom experience.
