  • Create a positive, inclusive and structured learning environment where pupils can thrive.

  • Adapt teaching strategies and resources to support individual learning styles and EHCP outcomes.

  • Work closely with Teaching Assistants, therapists and the wider multidisciplinary team.

  • Monitor pupil progress and use assessment to inform future planning.

  • Promote pupils' communication, independence, confidence and emotional wellbeing.

  • Build positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.

  • Contribute to the wider life of the school and uphold high standards of safeguarding.

About You

We're looking for teachers who:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

  • Have recent experience teaching within an SEN school or specialist educational setting.

  • Have a strong understanding of a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, communication needs and complex learning difficulties.

  • Are passionate about delivering high-quality, inclusive education.

  • Can adapt their teaching to meet the individual needs of every learner.

  • Have excellent classroom management, communication and teamwork skills.

  • Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or are willing to obtain one.

What's on Offer?

  • Flexible day-to-day supply opportunities and full-time, long-term roles available.

  • Opportunities across a range of specialist SEN schools and provisions in Wakefield.

  • Competitive rates of pay in line with experience and pay scale.
