NextGen Teachers are working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in Leeds to recruit a dedicated and caring Early Years Teaching Assistant for a full-time position, supporting pupils across Nursery and Reception.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about early childhood development and enjoys supporting young children during these vital first stages of their education.

About the Role

As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support children in Nursery and Reception within a play-based learning environment

  • Work alongside the class teacher to deliver engaging EYFS activities

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support where required

  • Support children's social, emotional, and personal development

  • Assist with observations, learning journals, and assessments

  • Help create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment

  • Support with personal care where necessary, in line with school policies

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have experience working in Early Years / EYFS (school or nursery setting)

  • Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification (desirable)

  • Be patient, caring, and enthusiastic

  • Have a good understanding of the EYFS framework

  • Be able to build positive relationships with children and staff

  • Be committed, reliable, and passionate about supporting young learners
