Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm - Monday - Wednesday

Salary: £110 - £120 per day

NextGen are recruiting for an SEND HLTA to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in Doncaster from September on a 1 year, part-time contract.

This is a varied part-time role including 1:1 SEN support and with HLTA responsibilities including providing PPA cover across KS2.

The Role:

• Providing dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil with SEN
• Supporting the pupil's learning, engagement and development
• Working closely with the class teacher and wider SEN team
• Providing HLTA/PPA cover when required
• Leading classes and delivering planned lessons during PPA time
• Creating a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment

Who We're Looking For:

• Experience working with individuals with additional needs is essential
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Calm, patient and positive approach
• Team player, willing to learn and support staff
• Committed to safeguarding and pupil welfare
• Focused on inclusion, progress and development
• Experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant, 1:1 Teaching Assistant or HLTA would be highly beneficial. You should also be comfortable leading a class independently when providing PPA cover
• Level 4 HLTA qualified (essential)
• The right to work in the UK
• An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to complete one)
• The ability to provide 24 months of professional references
