We are currently recruiting for a Level 3 (EYFS or childcare) SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Leeds from September.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with EYFS and Key Stage 1 pupils with a range of additional needs, supporting their learning, communication, and personal development in a nurturing and inclusive environment.

The children in the school live with Autism and Communication needs and therefore, personal care is required.

Candidates applying for this position MUST have a Level 3 Qualification in Childcare or Early Years.

Your Role

As a Level 3 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support children in EYFS and KS1 with a range of Special Educational Needs, including Autism (ASC), speech and language needs, and moderate to complex learning difficulties.
  • Deliver one-to-one and small group interventions to support learning and development.
  • Work alongside the class teacher to create a positive, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Support pupils with communication, social interaction, emotional regulation, and independence.
  • Use creative and practical approaches to engage children and help them achieve their individual learning goals.
  • Monitor pupil progress and contribute to individual support plans where required.

  • A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (essential).
  • Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs, particularly within EYFS or KS1.
