Level 2 Teaching Assistant & Nursing Duties

Location: Leeds
Contract: Full-time, Term Time Only - Temp to Perm
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm
Age Group: 8-17 years
Start Date: September
Salary: £92 - £95 per day (depending on experience)

Are you a Level 2 qualified teaching assistant that has experience in a Care / Nursing background? This is a unique role where you will be required to support the nursing staff as well as be a classroom SEN Teaching Assistant. If this sounds like you and you have a level 2 in Teaching Assistant or Childcare - we would love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils with complex medical needs, including administering daily medical interventions in line with individual care plans and training.
  • Work closely with the Nursing Team, teaching staff, families, and other professionals to ensure pupils' health, wellbeing, and educational needs are met.
  • Provide high-quality Teaching Assistant support in the classroom, promoting learning, inclusion, independence, and participation.
  • Monitor and respond appropriately to pupils' changing medical, emotional, and educational needs, maintaining accurate and confidential records.
  • Work flexibly across the school, maintaining a caring, resilient, and professional approach while undertaking relevant training and following school policies and procedures.
