Learning Support Assistant (Complex Needs & Autism)

Contract: Full-time, Term-time only

NextGen Teachers are proud to be working with a specialist provision, based in Pontefract, who are looking for learning support assistant. The school are looking for a compassionate, patient, and proactive Learning Support Assistant to join their dedicated team. You'll be working alongside experienced teachers and therapists to support pupils both in and out of the classroom, helping them access learning in ways that work for them.

Requirements

• Calm, caring, and resilient nature
• Able to build trusting relationships with pupils and colleagues
• A great communicator with a positive, can-do attitude
• Experienced or trained in autism support, Makaton, PECS, or sensory integration
• Experienced and comfortable with personal care
• The right to work in the UK
• An enhanced DBS on the update service
• Two professional references
