KS1 Teaching Assistant (Supply)

NextGen Teachers are currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic KS1 Teaching Assistant to work on a supply basis at a welcoming primary school in LS7.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced TA who enjoys supporting young learners in Key Stage 1 and can quickly adapt to different classroom environments while maintaining a positive and nurturing approach.

The Role:

• Supporting the class teacher within a KS1 classroom
• Working with pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
• Assisting with phonics, early reading, writing and numeracy
• Supporting classroom behaviour and engagement
• Helping to create a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment

The Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience working within a KS1 setting
• Good understanding of the KS1 curriculum and phonics
• Patient, proactive and adaptable approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Relevant Teaching Assistant qualification desirable but not essential
• Experience supporting children with special educational needs
