English Teacher Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging English Language & English Literature lessons (KS3-KS5)
• Prepare students for GCSE and post-16 outcomes
• Differentiate lessons for students with SEN, SEMH, Autism, ADHD
• Support literacy development: reading, writing, speaking, and communication
• Contribute to curriculum planning and department development

Person Specification - English Teacher

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching English in a secondary school (KS3-KS5)
• Strong behaviour management and classroom engagement skills
• Passion for English and inclusive teaching practices
• Interest in SEN / SEMH / Alternative Provision

Previous SEN experience is beneficial but not essential - full training and support provided
