SEMH Teaching Assistant / Behaviour Support Assistant (Secondary)
Location: Horley
Start: ASAP | Full-Time | Term-Time Only
£92.60-£100 per day (£21,500-£22,000) | Temp to Perm (12 Weeks)

NextGen Teachers is supporting a specialist SEMH secondary school in Horley who are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant / Behaviour Support Assistant to join their team.
This is a rewarding opportunity with full training provided, and a clear pathway into a permanent role.

The Role
- Support students across KS3 with SEMH needs
- Work 1:1 and in small groups to support learning and behaviour
- Help pupils develop confidence, emotional regulation, and independence
- Support both inside and outside the classroom (including pastoral support)
- Build strong relationships and act as a positive role model
- Work closely with teachers and SEN staff to deliver tailored strategies
Ideal Candidate

- Teaching Assistants / Learning Support Assistants (LSA)
- Youth Workers / Behaviour Mentors
- Support Workers / Care Workers (residential or community)
- Sports Coaches
- Psychology or Education Graduates
What You'll Need
- Experience working with young people (education, care, youth work, coaching)
- A calm, resilient and patient approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs
- Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
