NextGen Teachers is supporting a specialist SEMH secondary school in Horley who are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant / Behaviour Support Assistant to join their team.

This is a rewarding opportunity with full training provided, and a clear pathway into a permanent role.

The Role

• Support students across KS3 with SEMH needs
• Work 1:1 and in small groups to support learning and behaviour
• Help pupils develop confidence, emotional regulation, and independence
• Support both inside and outside the classroom (including pastoral support)
• Build strong relationships and act as a positive role model
• Work closely with teachers and SEN staff to deliver tailored strategies

Ideal Candidate

• Teaching Assistants / Learning Support Assistants (LSA)
• Youth Workers / Behaviour Mentors
• Support Workers / Care Workers (residential or community)
• Sports Coaches
• Psychology or Education Graduates
