NextGen Teachers are proud to be partnering with a specialist school in the Kirklees region to recruit an inspiring SEN Teacher to join their dedicated team in the new year from January 2026.

This nurturing school supports pupils aged 5-18 with a range of additional needs. You will be leading a KS3 class working at a KS2 curriculum level, where pupils have EHCPs for SEMH, Autism, ADHD, and MLD. The school provides a safe, structured and supportive environment where children can learn, grow and succeed both academically and emotionally.

As an SEN Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to meet complex SEN needs

  • Lead and support your class team to create an inclusive, positive learning environment

  • Use effective behaviour strategies to promote well-being and positive engagement

  • Track and report on pupil progress, ensuring each child receives the right support

  • Build strong, trusting relationships that encourage confidence and participation

  • Supervise pupils during non-classroom activities including trips and enrichment sessions

We're looking for someone who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Has experience teaching pupils with SEN or SEMH needs (school-based experience ideal)

  • Can demonstrate strong behaviour management and a nurturing teaching approach

  • Is committed to ongoing professional development

  • Is willing to complete an Enhanced DBS check prior to starting
