Are you patient, supportive, and passionate about helping young people reach their potential?

NextGen Teachers are looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in LS8, Leeds. In this role, you'll support students with a range of additional needs - from ADHD and autism to more complex learning and emotional needs - helping them thrive in a calm, structured environment.

This is a full-time, term-time only role, ideal for someone with experience in education, care, or youth work who's looking to make a real difference.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with additional needs

  • Build positive, trusting relationships to encourage engagement and confidence

  • Follow individual support and behaviour plans set by school staff

  • Create a calm, inclusive, and structured classroom environment

  • Use patience, empathy, and creativity to adapt learning to each student

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience supporting children or young people with SEN (e.g. ADHD, autism, SEMH, or complex needs)

  • A calm, caring, and resilient approach

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Reliable, consistent, and genuinely passionate about helping others
