Location: Bradford
Contract: Full-time, Term-Time, Temp to Perm
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm
Age Group: 11-19 years
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: £92 - £95 (depending on experience)

NextGen Teachers are seeking a confident and adaptable Teaching Assistant to support students aged 11-19 with a wide range of complex needs. The ideal candidate will have experience providing personal care and be comfortable working across different age groups and learning environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students aged 11-19 with a wide range of complex special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
  • Provide tailored classroom and 1:1 support to meet individual learning and emotional needs.
  • Assist students with personal care and daily routines where required.
  • Support pupils with communication difficulties, autism, sensory needs, and additional learning needs.
  • Promote student engagement, independence, and positive behaviour within the classroom.
  • Work closely with teachers, support staff, and external professionals to deliver personalised support strategies.

What we're looking for:

  • A caring, patient, and resilient individual with a genuine passion for supporting young people with complex SEND needs, including autism, severe learning difficulties, and communication needs.
  • Experience working with students aged 11-19 in a specialist setting, with the ability to provide personal care and tailored 1:1 support where required.
  • A calm, consistent, and proactive approach to behaviour support and emotional regulation, with strong communication skills to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
  • A strong commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, dignity, and promoting the wellbeing, independence, and progress of every learner.
