NextGen Teachers are currently recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated Science Teachers to work on a supply basis across secondary schools in Bradford and the surrounding areas.

The Role

As a Supply Science Teacher, you will have the opportunity to work across a variety of secondary schools, delivering engaging Science lessons and supporting pupils to achieve their full potential.

Depending on your experience and subject specialism, you may teach KS3 and KS4 Science, including Biology, Chemistry and Physics.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering engaging and well-structured Science lessons
• Teaching across KS3 and KS4, depending on your experience
• Following existing lesson plans and adapting delivery where appropriate
• Creating a positive and purposeful learning environment
• Managing classroom behaviour effectively
• Supporting pupils of varying abilities to make progress
• Maintaining high expectations of pupil achievement and behaviour
• Building positive relationships with students and school staff
• Carrying out practical activities safely and in accordance with school procedures

About You

We're looking for Science Teachers who are:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or appropriately qualified to teach in UK secondary schools
• Passionate about Science and education
• Confident teaching across a range of abilities
• Strong classroom practitioners with effective behaviour-management skills
• Reliable, adaptable and able to quickly settle into new school environments
• Excellent communicators who can build positive relationships with pupils
• Committed to providing engaging and inclusive learning experiences
• The right to work in the UK
• Holds an enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to complete one)
• Has the ability to provide 24 months of professional references

ECTs are encouraged to apply, as supply teaching can provide an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience across different schools and develop classroom confidence.
