NextGen Teachers are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and committed Science/PE Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Halifax from September 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate teacher looking for a long-term role through to Christmas.

The successful candidate will be confident teaching Science and/or PE across the secondary age range and will be able to build positive relationships with students while delivering engaging and well-structured lessons.

The Role

• Teaching Science and PE across Key Stages 3 and 4, depending on experience and timetable requirements
• Planning and delivering engaging, inclusive lessons
• Supporting students to achieve their full potential
• Maintaining a positive and well-managed classroom environment
• Working collaboratively with colleagues and the wider school team
• Contributing to the wider life of the school where appropriate
• Following school policies and safeguarding procedures

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a teacher who is:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or holds relevant teaching experience
• Experienced in teaching Science and/or PE at secondary level
• Passionate about education and supporting young people
• Confident with classroom and behaviour management
• Reliable, enthusiastic and professional
• Able to build strong relationships with students and staff
• Available for a long-term position from September until Christmas
• Holds an enhanced DBS on the update service
• Has the right to work in the UK
