Inclusion Support Worker - Secondary School

Location: Leeds (North East)
Salary: £22,000 - £25,000 per annum
Contract: 1-Year Fixed-Term | Full-Time, Term-Time Only
Start Date: September 2026

NextGen Teachers are recruiting for an Inclusion Support Worker to join a supportive secondary school in Leeds from September 2026.

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about supporting young people who may experience behavioural, emotional or social barriers to learning. You will work closely with the school's Inclusion and Pastoral teams to help students regulate their emotions, reflect on their behaviour and successfully re-engage with learning.

The Role

  • Supporting students with behavioural, emotional and social needs
  • Staffing the school's Reflection Room
  • Supporting students within the onsite Alternative Provision
  • Providing one-to-one and small-group support
  • Supporting students experiencing emotional dysregulation
  • Encouraging positive behaviour, reflection and restorative conversations
  • Helping students successfully reintegrate into lessons

About You

We're looking for someone who is compassionate, resilient and confident when supporting young people.

Experience within behaviour support, pastoral care, SEND, Alternative Provision, youth work or a school setting would be highly beneficial.

You may currently be working as a Teaching Assistant, Behaviour Support Worker, Learning Mentor, Pastoral Support Worker or Youth Worker and be looking for your next opportunity.
