Primary Supply Teachers - Leeds & Wakefield

Daily Rate: £140 - £180 per day

NextGen Teachers are looking for enthusiastic and reliable Primary Supply Teachers to work across a range of welcoming primary schools throughout Leeds and Wakefield from September 2026.

Whether you're an experienced teacher looking for greater flexibility, an ECT wanting to gain experience across different school settings, or simply looking for a better work-life balance, supply teaching offers the opportunity to choose when and where you work.

We have opportunities available across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, with both day-to-day supply and longer-term placements available.

The Role

As a Primary Supply Teacher, you will:

• Deliver engaging lessons across EYFS, KS1 and/or KS2
• Follow lesson plans and maintain continuity of learning
• Create a positive, inclusive and engaging classroom environment
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively
• Adapt confidently to different schools, year groups and teaching environments
• Follow individual school policies and safeguarding procedures
• Provide pupils with a positive and consistent learning experience

What We're Looking For

To be considered for Primary Supply Teacher opportunities with NextGen Teachers, you should:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
• Have experience teaching within a UK primary school setting
• Have strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Be adaptable, confident and reliable
• Have a genuine passion for primary education
• Be able to travel to schools across Leeds and/or Wakefield
