Primary SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Leeds
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Supply to Temp-to-Perm
Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm, Term-Time
Salary: £90 - £95 per day

NextGen are recruiting for a Primary SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming specialist school in Leeds.

The school supports primary-aged pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, communication needs and SEMH. The school provides a nurturing and supportive environment with a strong focus on learning, wellbeing, independence, positive behaviour and personal development.

The Role

• Support pupils with their learning, engagement and development.
• Provide 1:1 and small-group support where required.
• Promote positive behaviour, confidence and independence.
• Support pupils with communication, emotional regulation and social development.
• Provide personal care support where required, including toileting, dressing and hygiene.
• Work closely with teachers and the wider SEN team to meet individual pupil needs.
