Contract: Full-Time, Term-Time Only

Are you an experienced HLTA with expertise in supporting children with complex communication needs?
We are recruiting on behalf of a specialist educational setting in Leeds seeking a dedicated and skilled professional to support pupils with a range of additional needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference while working alongside a highly supportive multidisciplinary team.
The Role
- Support pupils with complex communication and interaction needs
- Plan and deliver learning activities under the guidance of teaching staff
- Deliver interventions and personalised learning programmes
- Lead lessons and provide PPA cover when required
- Monitor, assess, and record pupil progress
- Work collaboratively with families, teachers, and external professionals
- Support learning across school, home, and community settings
- Promote independence, communication, and positive outcomes for pupils
About You
- Experience working with children or young people with SEND, particularly complex communication needs
- HLTA qualification or significant relevant classroom experience
- Strong understanding of EHCPs, personalised learning, and inclusive practice
- Experience planning and delivering learning activities or interventions
- Excellent communication, organisation, and teamwork skills
- A patient, proactive, and child-centred approach
