NextGen Teachers are currently recruiting for an exciting Head of Maths / Maths Leadership opportunity at a specialist secondary school in Horsham.
This role is ideal for:
- An ambitious Maths Teacher ready to step into leadership
- A current Maths Teacher or TLR holder seeking progression
- An experienced secondary Maths Teacher looking to move into specialist education
- Teachers wanting a rewarding and relationship-focused, smaller pupil cohort to support

The successful candidate will:
- Lead and develop the Maths curriculum across the school
- Deliver engaging and accessible Maths lessons to secondary students
- Support teaching and learning across the department with 2 direct reports
- Help drive positive student outcomes and engagement
- Work closely with senior leaders to further develop the Maths provision
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where students can thrive
The school is particularly interested in hearing from strong classroom practitioners with leadership potential, even if you have not yet held a formal Head of Department position.
Previous specialist education experience is welcomed but not essential. The school is happy to support teachers transitioning from mainstream secondary settings.
