Contract: Full-time, Monday to Friday (8:30am - 3:30pm), term-time only. Flexible opportunities available - ranging from day-to-day supply to long-term placements

Salary: £140 - £160 per day (dependent on experience)

NextGen Teachers are delighted to be recruiting an Early Career Teacher for a variety of roles across Bradford. We partner with a wide network of Primary, Secondary and SEN schools throughout West Yorkshire, offering both short-term and long-term opportunities for the right candidates.

If you're an ECT seeking to gain experience and confidence in the classroom as a higher level support assistant, this is the perfect position for you.

About the Role

  • Deliver pre-planned lessons to whole classes in the teacher's absence (including covering PPA time)
  • Assist in planning and preparing learning activities under the guidance of the wider team
  • Adapt resources and strategies to meet the needs of pupils, including those with SEN, EAL, or additional barriers to learning
  • Provide targeted support for pupils with a variety of needs, including academic, behavioural, and social-emotional
  • Support in assessing pupil progress and provide feedback to the class team
  • Contribute to creating an inclusive, safe, and engaging learning environment
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents to support children's development

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Proven experience working with children in a school or similar educational setting
  • Strong knowledge and practical understanding of a wide range of SEN needs
  • A genuine passion for helping children achieve their full potential
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to adapt and work effectively as part of a team
  • Sound understanding of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Minimum GCSE grade C/4 (or equivalent) in English, Maths, and Science
