Location: Leeds
Contract: Full-time, Term Time Only - Temp to Perm
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm
Age Group: 4-18 years
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: £92 - £95 (depending on experience)
NextGen Teachers are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join a supportive school in Leeds. This full-time, term-time position offers the opportunity to work with students aged 4-18 years, supporting learners with a range of complex needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support learners with a range of complex needs in daily learning
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging, differentiated, inclusive lessons
- Provide personal care, including moving and handling where required
- Work flexibly across sites to meet changing learner needs
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
- Follow safeguarding procedures and promote pupil welfare
- Record progress and report concerns to staff and senior leaders
Who We're Looking For:
- Experience working with children is essential
- Teaching Assistant, support work, or care experience desirable
- Passionate about supporting learners with complex needs
- Flexible and adaptable across settings and sites
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Calm, patient, and positive approach
- Team player, willing to learn and support staff
- Committed to safeguarding and pupil welfare
- Focused on inclusion, progress, and development
