Teaching Assistant(Supply)

• 3-5 days per week of work available (Monday - Friday)
• Work available in Primary, Secondary and SEN schools across Leeds

NextGen Teachers are working closely with a number of primary, secondary and SEN schools across Leeds to recruit enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to work on a supply basis, starting as soon as possible.

This role is ideal for individuals who are looking for work/life balance and who want to work on a flexible basis. Candidates applying must have previous experience working in schools and must be able to work in Primary / SEN and or Secondary schools.

We are looking for candidates who are available 3-5 days per week and who are happy to travel 5 - 10 miles across Leeds and work in various schools.

NextGen Teachers are an Education agency and support schools with needs on daily basis. Candidates MUST be able to take work calls from 7:00am on wards and be available to travel to work straight away.

Key Responsibilities

• Support pupils with SEN in primary, secondary and specialist settings

• Provide 1:1 and small group support tailored to individual needs

• Assist class teachers with differentiated learning activities

• Encourage positive behaviour, engagement, and inclusion

• Support pupils' emotional and social development

• Adapt confidently to different school environments

The Ideal Candidate

• Has experience working with children or young people with SEN (education-based experience preferred)

• Is flexible, reliable, and adaptable

• Has a patient, nurturing, and resilient approach

• Is confident working across different school settings

• Has a genuine passion for supporting pupils with additional needs
