Teaching Assistant - SEN Specialist School - 1:1 Support - Croydon
£90-£100 per day | Full-time / Supply | ASAP Start

Location: Croydon

Hours: Varies, approximately 8am to 4pm, Monday to Friday, term time only

Contract: Day to Day and ongoing supply

We are currently recruiting dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistants to work within a specialist SEN schools in Croydon, supporting pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including SEMH, Autism (ASC), ADHD, and associated learning needs.

This is a rewarding opportunity to work in specialist settings, providing tailored 1:1 support to help pupils access learning, develop socially and emotionally, and reach their individual potential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support for pupils with SEN
• Support pupils with communication, emotional regulation, and behaviour
• Help create a safe, structured, and inclusive environment
• Support pupils with personal development and social skills

Requirements:

• Experience working with children or young people with SEN (school, care, youth work, or support work)
• Understanding or strong interest in Autism, SEMH, ADHD, or complex needs
• A patient, calm, and nurturing approach
• Ability to build positive, trusting relationships
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply
