NextGen Teachers are seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join the supportive team at our partnership SEN school in Leeds. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a school that believes in personalised learning and holistic development for every child.
This role will be to support children with Complex Needs from the age of 4-16 years who live with; Autism, ADHD, Moderate and Severe Learning Difficulties, Downs Syndrome and Communication and Interaction needs.
This role is to work with children with multiple and complex needs and candidates MUST be able to provide personal care, manual handling and have experience with complex needs within the last 12 months.

This SEN school is a thriving special school for pupils aged 4-16, catering for a broad range of needs including moderate to severe learning difficulties, complex medical needs, physical disabilities, autism, and sensory impairments. The school operates a personalised, holistic approach and works closely with therapists and multi-disciplinary professionals to ensure learners can thrive academically, socially and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities
Provide individual and group support to pupils with a range of SEND to help them access learning and achieve their EHCP outcomes.
Assist teachers in delivering planned activities and differentiated learning tasks.
Support pupils' personal care and daily routines with dignity and respect where required.
Promote positive behaviour and encourage independence, social skills, and communication.
Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents to foster a nurturing school environment.
