We're recruiting an experienced Teaching Assistant to join a warm, inclusive school in Barnsley.

About the Role:
You'll support a small group of pupils with complex SEMH needs, helping them feel secure, regulated, and ready to learn. You'll be a consistent, trusted adult who provides structure, calm, and encouragement throughout the school day.

What You'll Do:

* Support a specific group of pupils with SEMH needs
* Guide smooth transitions between lessons and activities
* Help pupils regulate emotions and model calm, positive behaviour
* Build strong, trusting relationships with your group
* Create a safe, structured, nurturing environment

What You Need:

* Experience working with children/young people with complex needs in a classroom setting
* Understanding of behaviour support and de-escalation techniques
* Ability to engage and motivate pupils effectively
* Good communication skills
* GCSE Maths & English (or equivalent)
* Level 3 qualification in a relevant field (or willingness to work towards)
* Full UK driving licence and access to a car
