We are recruiting a dedicated Primary Teacher to join a small, specialist SEMH school in Crawley. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a close-knit and forward-thinking team that places relationships, wellbeing, and personalised learning at the heart of everything it does.
The school supports pupils aged 6-16 with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), including those with SEMH needs and associated additional needs such as Autism (ASC), ADHD, and Dsylexia.

The Role
As a Teacher, you will deliver engaging and highly personalised learning to small groups of pupils, adapting your approach to meet a range of emotional, behavioural, and learning needs.
The role is ideally suited to a primary-trained teacher, although there may be opportunities to teach older pupils within a nurturing and therapeutic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, personalised teaching tailored to individual needs
* Create a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment
* Adapt teaching approaches to engage pupils with SEMH and additional needs
* Build positive relationships that promote confidence, resilience, and success
* Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and wider school staff
* Monitor progress and contribute to personalised learning and support plans
* Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding progress and wellbeing
* Contribute to the ongoing development of an innovative and evolving curriculum
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Has experience, or a strong interest, in SEMH and SEND education
* Is creative, patient, and adaptable in their approach
* Can build strong and positive relationships with young people and families
* Has excellent communication and classroom management skills
* Is passionate about making a meaningful difference to children's lives
* Enjoys working collaboratively within a supportive team environment
* Has a sense of humour and brings positivity and enthusiasm to their teaching
