Primary SEN Teaching Assistant | Doncaster | ASAP start

Location: Doncaster (DN9)

Contract: Full-time, Term-Time only

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:45am - 3:45pm

Salary: £100 per day (depending on experience)

NextGen Teachers are seeking to recruit a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support a child on a 1:1 basis in Year 5 whilst also starting at 7:45am to support with the schools breakfast club as a dual position.

This role is starting ASAP from 27th April and the school are looking to meet candidates next week.

Candidates applying for this role MUST have experience working in primary schools and with children with Autism (ASD) and ADHD recently within the last 12 months.

This contract is until July 2026 however, it may be extended for a temporary to permanent contract for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support a child with ASD and ADHD in KS2 on a 1:1 basis
• Support with breakfast club from 7:45am - 8:30am each day
• Assist with classroom activities and interventions
• Support social and emotional development
• Work closely with staff and SENCO
• Ensure a safe, inclusive environment
• Follow safeguarding procedures

What we're looking for:

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEN is essential
• Caring, patient, and supportive approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to manage behaviour positively
• Reliable, proactive, and adaptable
• Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities
