Behaviour Mentor - Primary School (Permanent, Full-Time)

- £22,000 - £23,000 per annum

NextGen Teachers are proud to be recruiting for a Behaviour Mentor to join a supportive and inclusive primary school in Leeds (LS9) on a full-time, permanent basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and resilient individual who is passionate about supporting children with behavioural needs, SEN, and SEMH to succeed both academically and personally.
About the Role
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will work closely with Key Stage 2 pupils who require additional support with behaviour, emotional regulation, and engagement in learning. You will play a vital role in creating a positive and structured environment that enables pupils to thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide targeted 1:1 and small group support for KS2 pupils with behavioural and SEMH needs
- Implement behaviour management strategies and support plans
- Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils to support engagement and progress
- Work collaboratively with class teachers, SENCo, and pastoral teams
- Support pupils in developing social skills and emotional resilience
- Monitor behaviour, track progress, and contribute to reports and reviews
- Promote a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
About You
- Recent experience working with KS2 pupils in a professional setting
- Proven experience supporting children with challenging behaviour, SEN, and/or SEMH needs
- Calm, patient, and resilient approach
- Strong behaviour management skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Passionate about making a difference in children's lives
- Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential
