Primary SEN Teacher
Permanent SEN Teacher

Contract: Permanent, Full-Time

NextGen Teachers are recruiting on behalf of a specialist SEN school in Batley seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher to join their supportive team on a permanent basis.
The school provides a nurturing, personalised learning environment for pupils aged 5-13 with a range of additional needs, including SEMH, ASD, ADHD, anxiety, trauma and communication and learning needs.
The Role
You will:
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons
- Adapt learning to meet individual pupil needs
- Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils
- Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development
- Work closely with Teaching Assistants and the wider school team
- Promote positive behaviour using a calm and consistent approach
- Monitor and assess pupil progress
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who is:
- QTS qualified and passionate about SEN
- Patient, resilient and emotionally intelligent
- Experienced in adapting teaching to individual needs
- Confident supporting challenging behaviour
- A strong team player with excellent communication skills
SEN/SEMH experience is desirable, although experienced mainstream teachers looking to move into specialist education are encouraged to apply
