Leeds | £22,000 - £23,000 per annum | Full-Time | September Start
NextGen Teachers are recruiting a confident and compassionate Primary Behaviour & Inclusion Support Worker to join a welcoming primary school in Leeds from September.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in behaviour support, SEN, mentoring, youth work or pastoral care who is passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning.
You will work predominantly with KS2 pupils who require additional behavioural, social, emotional and SEN support, helping them regulate their emotions, engage positively with learning and feel included within school life.
The Role
- Providing 1:1 and small-group support across KS2
- Supporting pupils with behavioural, SEMH and SEN needs
- Building strong and consistent relationships with children
- Helping pupils develop emotional regulation and coping strategies
- Supporting children who struggle within the classroom environment
- Using positive behaviour and de-escalation strategies
- Supporting inclusion and re-engagement with learning
- Working closely with teachers, SEN and pastoral teams
About You
We'd particularly like to hear from candidates with backgrounds in:
- Behaviour or Inclusion Support
- SEN Teaching Assistance
- Learning Mentoring
- Youth Work
- Pastoral Support
- Sports Coaching
- Residential or Children's Support Work
You'll need to be calm, resilient, patient and confident, with the ability to build positive relationships with children who may display challenging behaviour.
