Location: Wakefield
Contract: Part-Time, (Mon,Tues,Thurs and Fri)
Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: £92.60 per day

NextGen Teachers are looking for an experienced, reliable and energetic nursery assistant to work part-time (Mon, Tues, Thurs and Fri). If you have nursery experience as well as a level 3 - then we would love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the care, learning, and development of children aged 3-4 in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
• Assist with delivering engaging play-based activities that promote communication, social skills, and early learning.
• Provide a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment where children feel secure and supported.
• Support children's personal care needs, including toileting, dressing, and snack/lunchtime routines where required.
• Work closely with the class teacher and nursery team to observe, record, and support children's individual progress and development.

What we're looking for:

• A caring, patient, and enthusiastic individual with a genuine passion for working with young children in an early years setting.
• Experience working with children aged 3-5, ideally within a nursery, preschool, or infant school environment.
• A good understanding of child development and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents/carers.
• A proactive, flexible approach with a commitment to creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment.
