Are you a passionate Maths Teacher looking for a role where you can make a genuine impact on the lives of young people?

We are looking for a Secondary Maths Teacher to join a specialist school supporting students aged 11-18 with a range of additional needs, including SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health needs), Autism (ASC), ADHD, Dyslexia, and associated learning differences.

This is an exciting opportunity to teach Maths within small classes, where relationships, engagement, and personalised learning are at the heart of everything. Whether you are an experienced teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT), this school offers a supportive environment where you can focus on inspiring young people and helping them achieve meaningful outcomes.

The Role

As a Maths Teacher, you will deliver engaging and differentiated lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, adapting learning to meet the individual needs of students.

Working closely with pastoral teams, therapists, and support staff, you will help pupils develop confidence in Maths while supporting their wider emotional, social, and personal development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • * Differentiate learning to meet a range of SEND and SEMH needs
  • * Support students working towards GCSE, Entry Level, and alternative qualifications
  • * Create a safe, structured, and positive learning environment
  • * Monitor progress and adapt teaching to maximise student outcomes
  • * Contribute to EHCP targets, annual reviews, and personalised learning plans
  • * Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, pastoral teams, and therapists
  • * Build positive relationships that encourage engagement, resilience, and achievement
  • * Promote high expectations for both academic and personal progress

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds QTS (or is working towards Qualified Teacher Status)
  • * Has experience teaching Maths at secondary level
  • * Is passionate about inclusive education and supporting young people with additional needs
  • * Can build strong, positive relationships with students
  • * Is resilient, adaptable, and committed to helping pupils succeed
  • * Understands or is willing to learn trauma-informed and therapeutic approaches
  • * Values teamwork and collaborative working

Applications are welcomed from both experienced teachers and ECTs.

What's on Offer?

  • Salary including SEN Allowance
  • * Permanent, full-time position
  • * Teachers' Pension Scheme
  • * Term-time working with generous school holiday entitlement
  • * Free on-site parking
  • * Complimentary lunches
  • * Access to on-site gym facilities
  • * Extensive CPD and specialist SEND/SEMH training
  • * Supportive leadership team and established induction programme
  • * Excellent career progression opportunities within specialist education
