Learning Support Assistant (LSA) - Primary School

Location: Harrogate, HG2
Pay: £90-£95 per day
Start Date: ASAP after half term
Duration: Until at least Christmas, with potential for extension

Are you a passionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant looking for your next opportunity in a primary school setting?

We are seeking a caring, patient and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a welcoming primary school in Harrogate (HG2). This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience or a specialist interest in supporting children with Autism (ASC), ADHD, or Team Teach / positive behaviour support.

The successful candidate will play a key role in helping pupils access learning, develop confidence and thrive in a supportive school environment.

The Role

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to primary-aged pupils
• Support children with additional learning needs, including Autism and/or ADHD
• Promote positive behaviour, emotional regulation and engagement in the classroom
• Adapt activities and provide tailored support to meet individual needs
• Work collaboratively with the class teacher, SENCO and wider school team
• Help create a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment

The Ideal Candidate

• Has experience supporting children in a primary school or similar setting
• Has a specialism or experience in Autism, ADHD or Team Teach
• Is patient, empathetic and confident in managing challenging situations
• Can build positive relationships with pupils and staff
• Is proactive, reliable and passionate about supporting children with additional needs
