Teaching Assistant for Learning Disabilities

NextGen Teachers are working in partnership with a Specialist Provision for Secondary aged pupils from 11 - 18 years in Central Leeds who are seeking to recruit Teaching Assistants on a full-time basis.

The school are looking for Teaching Assistants to support students in school with Learning Disabilities including: Autism, ADHD, Moderate and Severe Learning needs, Downs Syndrome and Sensory needs.

Candidates applying for this position must be comfortable with personal care and have experience working with children who may be non-verbal and have speech, language and communication needs.

We're looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join the school immediately. You'll work closely with teachers to support students' learning, communication, and emotional development - helping every young person reach their potential.

What we're looking for:

  • Passion for supporting children with SEND

  • Patient, caring, and reliable

  • Recent experience in education or care (desirable, not essential)
