NextGen Teachers are currently recruiting for a skilled and motivated Design & Technology Teacher to join a well-regarded secondary school in the BD13 area of Bradford. This is a long-term, full-time supply role, starting as soon as possible, with the potential to continue for the full academic year.
The Role:
You will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons in Design & Technology across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, including GCSE and A Level. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong subject knowledge, a passion for practical and theoretical teaching, and the ability to engage and inspire students of varying abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging DT lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Teach GCSE and A Level Design & Technology (specialism areas welcomed)
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress
- Maintain a positive and safe learning environment, particularly within workshop settings
- Contribute to the wider school community and departmental development
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching DT at secondary level, including GCSE (A Level desirable)
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- A proactive and adaptable approach to teaching
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
- The right to work in the UK
