NextGen Teachers are currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Classroom Teaching Assistant to work on a supply basis within a welcoming primary school in the Halifax (HX3) area.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant or someone looking to gain further experience working within a primary school environment. The role offers flexibility, with the potential for regular supply work and longer-term opportunities.

The Role

As a Supply Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Support the class teacher with the delivery of engaging lessons

• Provide additional support to pupils on a one-to-one or small-group basis

• Help create a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment

• Assist pupils with their learning and development

• Support classroom activities and prepare learning resources

• Encourage positive behaviour and engagement

• Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff

• Adapt to different classes and pupils as required

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience working with children in a school, nursery or educational setting

• Has a genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development

• Is confident working with primary-aged pupils

• Has strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Can build positive relationships with pupils and staff

• Is patient, reliable and adaptable

• Can work effectively as part of a wider school team

• Is available for supply or temporary work in the Halifax area

• Has the right to work in the UK

Relevant qualifications such as a Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification are desirable, but we also welcome applications from candidates with relevant school-based experience.
