Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm, Term-Time
Salary: £90 - £100 per day, depending on experience

NextGen Teachers are currently recruiting for a Primary Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive school in Leeds.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and wants to play an important role in supporting their learning, confidence, behaviour and development.

The Role

As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Support pupils across the primary age range with their learning and development
• Provide 1:1 and small-group support where required
• Work alongside the class teacher to deliver engaging and effective learning activities
• Support pupils with English, Maths, phonics and wider curriculum activities
• Help pupils develop their confidence, independence and social skills
• Encourage positive behaviour and engagement within the classroom
• Build strong and positive relationships with pupils
• Support children during lessons, break times and other aspects of the school day
• Help create a calm, positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Work closely with teachers and the wider school team

The role will initially be offered on a supply basis, with the potential for the position to become long-term or permanent for the right candidate.

• Passionate about helping children develop their confidence, independence and academic skills
