The Role
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will:
Support pupils across the primary age range to access learning and achieve their full potential
Work closely with experienced class teachers to deliver engaging, creative and inclusive lessons
Deliver one-to-one and small group interventions to help pupils make excellent progress
Support children with additional learning needs, including pupils with SEND
Build children's confidence, independence and enjoyment of learning
Help create a positive, nurturing and engaging classroom environment
Develop strong relationships with pupils, staff and parents
Gain first-hand experience of life in a thriving primary school while developing the skills needed for a future career in education
About You
We're particularly keen to hear from graduates who hold a degree in:
Primary Education
Education Studies
Childhood Studies
Early Childhood Studies
Primary Teaching
Child Development
Special Educational Needs & Inclusion (SEND)
Youth & Community Studies
Education & Learning
Or another degree closely related to education or child development
Whether you've recently graduated or completed your degree within the last few years, we'd love to hear from you if you're passionate about inspiring young learners.
The ideal candidate will also:
Have experience working with children through schools, tutoring, coaching, mentoring, youth work, volunteering or similar
Be enthusiastic, proactive and eager to learn
Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Be committed to making a positive difference to children's education
Work well independently and as part of a team
Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one
