NextGen Teachers are currently recruiting for a dedicated and resilient Behaviour Support Worker (BSW) to work at a secondary school in Keighley on a supply basis.

This role will primarily involve working within the school's onsite provision, supporting students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping students re-engage with learning, manage behaviour positively, and develop essential social and emotional skills.

The Role:

• Supporting students with SEMH needs within the onsite provision
• Building strong, positive relationships with pupils who may present challenging behaviour
• Providing 1:1 and small group support
• Assisting in de-escalation and behaviour management strategies
• Working closely with teaching staff, SENCO and pastoral teams
• Encouraging student engagement, confidence and progress

The Ideal Candidate:

• Experience working with young people with SEMH needs (school, PRU, alternative provision or similar setting)
• Strong behaviour management skills
• Calm, patient and resilient approach
• Ability to build rapport quickly and effectively
• Team player with good communication skills
• The right to work in the UK
• An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
• Two professional references
