Location: Bradford, BD5
Contract: Temporary - full-time (Monday-Friday 8:30-4:30), term time only.
Start date: ASAP
Salary: £160 - £230 per day (dependent on experience)

About the Role

  • Teach high-quality, well-structured lessons that foster curiosity, critical thinking, and a love of Geography.
  • Support students in achieving excellent outcomes and progressing to higher education, apprenticeships, or employment.
  • Contribute to the wider Humanities provision, sharing good practice and collaborating with colleagues.
  • Play an active role in shaping a positive, inclusive, and ambitious sixth form learning community.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Holds QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
  • Understands safeguarding responsibilities.
  • Holds (or is willing to apply for) an enhanced DBS.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Geography (and ideally broader Humanities) with the ability to teach A-level confidently.
  • Passion for teaching and learning, with the drive to inspire curiosity and stretch students' thinking.
  • Understanding of A-level exam requirements and experience in preparing students for assessments.
  • High expectations of students, with the ability to motivate and support them to achieve their full potential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships with students and colleagues.
  • Commitment to inclusive practice, ensuring all learners feel supported and able to succeed, regardless of background.
  • Collaborative approach, keen to contribute to the wider Humanities team and share best practice.
  • Resilience and adaptability, with the capacity to thrive in a busy sixth form environment.
