1:1 Teaching Assistant - Secondary School (Temp to Perm Opportunity)

Location: Secondary School - Crawley

Start Date: ASAP

Contract: Full-time, Monday to Friday

Type: Ongoing Temp to Perm

Pay: £95 - £105 per day - DOE

The Role

We're looking for a compassionate, confident, and proactive 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a bright and engaging pupil within a welcoming and supportive secondary school environment. We are looking for someone who has a calm, flexible approach and experience of boosting confidence and reducing anxiety. The successfull candidate will be an excellent relationship bulder and have proven ablity of building trusted relationships with people either in a school setting or alternative support position.

Your role will involve:

• Providing consistent 1:1 learning assistant support in lessons and in a quiet, structured workspace.
• Helping to break down learning into smaller, achievable steps.
• Offering gentle encouragement and emotional reassurance throughout the day.
• Communicating daily with parents, summarising progress and focus areas for home.
• Collaborating with teachers and SENCOs to adapt tasks and promote positive participation.

About You

We'd love to hear from you if you:

• Have experience supporting students as a TA / LSA in a school setting or in a comparable role.
• Has some exposure to wokng wtih people who are neurodiverse, have SEN needs or PDA profiles
• Are patient, empathetic, and skilled at building rapport.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, students, and parents.
• Are adaptable, proactive, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
