Teaching Assistant
Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant (SEN)
Horsham - Term time only
12 weeks Temp to Perm - £23174 per annum (actual salary)
Start: ASAP January 2026
We are recruiting an experienced SEN TA / LSA for a well-established, specialist school in West Sussex. The school supports academically able autistic pupils with associated needs including ADHD and complex needs, all with EHCPs.
This is an excellent temp-to-perm opportunity for an LSA looking to secure a long-term role within a supportive and expanding SEN setting.
The Role:
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support within the classroom
- Support pupils with engagement, emotional regulation, and independence
- Work closely with teachers and SEN staff
- Assist with recording progress and supporting learning activities
Requirements:
- Previous experience working as an SEN LSA / Teaching Assistant or with individuals with learning needs in and alternative setting
- Understanding of autism and associated needs
- Calm, patient, and consistent approach
- Knowledge of EHCPs and SEN Code of Practice (desirable)
- Enhanced DBS, Right to work and references required.
