Are you an experienced and passionate SENCo looking for your next opportunity? A vibrant and inclusive secondary school in Bradford is seeking a full-time SENCo to join their team as soon as possible to cover a maternity until the end of the academic year.

About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated SENCo who is committed to ensuring every young person receives the support they need to thrive. You will lead and coordinate the school's SEND provision, work with external agencies, ensure all students on the SEN register are receiving the correct provision and support as well as assessing pupils and putting forwards EHCAs and implementing EHCPs across the school.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the strategic development of SEND provision across the school

  • Lead and manage the SEND team, including TAs and specialist staff

  • Ensure high-quality support and personalised interventions for students

  • Coordinate and review EHCPs, referrals, and assessments

  • Provide training and guidance to teaching staff

  • Maintain strong communication with families and external partners

  • Monitor progress and ensure statutory obligations are met

Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified teacher with QTS (Ideally Secondary)

  • National Award for SEN Coordination (or working towards it)

  • Strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills

  • A proactive and compassionate approach to supporting young people
